How to Use the CatCapital Assistant

Asking Your First Question

To get the best answer:

  • Always include a ticker (AAPL, MSFT, DBK.DE, ANZ.AU) when you know it.
  • Specify a time period (TTM, last 4 quarters, FY2023)
  • Keep questions focused and include critical details
Examples:
  • "Show AAPL Revenue for the last 4 Quarters."

  • "Do a deep dive on TSLA."

Best Practices for High-Accuracy Responses

  • Use uppercase tickers, add country suffix where necessary (e.g. DBK.DE or ANZ.AU).
  • Structure like Data retrieval -> what to do with it.
  • Split complex tasks into multiple prompts. get data a -> get data b -> compare a against b in terms of ...
  • Avoid vague words like "recent", "good", "performance". That leaves the range your looking for wide open.
  • Use clean grammar - punctuation does not matter.

Troubleshooting

If the result seems off

Try:

  • Adding a period: TTM or last 4 quarters
  • Specifing a country when different currencies or regions mix your result: biggest US stocks or Australian lithium stocks
  • Splitting your query into multiple simpler ones
  • Asking for raw fundamentals first, then the KPI or what to do with it.
If data is unavailable

Some companies or segments may not have the metric reported.
