Catapult Book Group has acquired Hawthorne Books & Literary Arts, integrating its catalog and trademarks into its publishing group. Hawthorne will continue publishing new titles, with distribution shifting to Penguin Random House, and release its first new work in Fall 2026. The acquisition strengthens Catapult’s position as a major independent publisher with a focus on complex, reflective storytelling.
